Winterfest was awesome!!

The theme to Winterfest this year was 'The Prize', with the theme scripture being Philippians 3:14:

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Being focused on heaven for an entire weekend was incredibly rewarding and refreshing. It was great to see the teenagers having so much fun together, and worshipping together!

Here are some pictures I took this weekend, if anyone wants to email me some, I'll post them as well! We're already looking forward to next year where the theme will be "The Mission"... Sweet!

LTC!

Congrats to everyone who participated in LTC!! Youall did a phenominal job.

Last night, at the LTC Awards ceremony, Heidi B. (no last names in Blog Land) read a poem that she had written for LTC. I thought it was beautiful, and she has given me approval to post it on the blog for everyone to read... Enjoy:

Look to the Lord

When you’ve gone your way,
And you know your place;
When you’ve found your path,
And you know it well;
When you’ve struggled hard,
And have prayed often;
When you know your Lord,
And know you’re saved;
When you wonder what
You’ve left to do.

Look to the Lord again,
To helo you lead
Your fellow travelers,
In their times of need;
Help them to learn,
What you’ve come to know.

That the Lord will help them,
To know their place;
That the Lord will help them,
To find their path;
That the Lord will help them,
If they pray to Him.
Then the Lord will save them,
As he saved you;
If you take the lead,
And show them so.

Winterfest was Wicked Awesome!

Approximately 18 of our students and 8 of our adults were able to participate in this year's Winterfest in Gatlinburg, TN. It was a phenominal time of life-changing lessons, existing friendships were deepened & new ones created!

One of the highlights for me was being able to see a 4,000 year old spear used during the time of Abraham, I thought that was crazy!

What was your highlight? Comment via the link below or email me: blairbisher@yahoo.com.

Also, email your Winterfest pictures so we can post them on the blog! Here are some of mine:

A Day at the Aqaurium... Emily B. & Emily B...

The Mob being herded into the convention center:

Lastly, Sarah and I wanted to say how proud we are of all the kids who went. You all represented N. Raleigh excellently! It was great to see you all hanging out together, breaking bread together, laughing with each other, singing & worshipping together... Great job N. Raleigh Youts!

We love you all!

Youth-Led Worship was Great!!

It was great to see so many of the teenagers & adults come out for the Youth-led Congregational Worship tonight!! Chris Brannan prayed, Hunter Harrison read the scripture, and Travis Garrell shared from his life regarding the hope that he has in Christ.

You are the future of the church, and it is great to see several of you step up and serve in this way - speaking, praying, reading, encouraging from the rows!!!!!

You will have more opportunities to serve in this way again in the future!! Don't understimate yourself, or the impact you can have!!!

Have a great week!

~ Blair & Sarah (and Emily)
